I watched a show about John Lee Hooker. His life and times kind of show. He had a great response when he was getting some criticism about using white folk in his band, I’m paraphrasing a little but basically he said “ when you close your eyes and listen to my music can you hear the color of the man playing guitar? I can’t”....
