Book Marker?? - SOLVED

I bought a book named History of Charles The Twelfth King Of Sweden By M. De Voltaire and this paper was inside. The book was published in 1858 by Derby and Jackson 119 Nassau St. New York. I wondered if someone can figure out the puzzle i have no idea.

The only thing I can think of is an old lottery bought for two cent you can win the jack pot if solved!!!!!

Wow, hard one!
I love puzzles.

Not solved yet.
Some clues:

If you start at the Y in YUU, then go down one and over one (right)
then up one and over one (right), you will see the words "YOU LOVE"
That's as far as I got.

I was going on the assumption of a cryptogram, but no, that doesn't
seem to work. The single letters would have to be "I" and "A" and
again it doesn't work.

Using that same up/down logic I hinted at above,
you get

MAX T KTSS YOU LOVE?
Which I believe is very close to "May I kiss you love?"
if the X=Y and the T=I

I believe the hidden message is indeed "May I Kiss You, Love?"

Try folding the paper so that the top half of the first line is superimposed above the bottom half of the second line... sort of like the old dollar bill trick that turns George Washington's head into a mushroom.

The only problem— perhaps an error— is with the "O" in "YOU."
