Choo, I would say that it is modern food trash like a ham bone or something.........

Chuck

I dont know what it is..............but I have one just like it,
It came from a land site where many chert artifacts were found
You seem to have teeth wear on one end of your bone..
Your 2nd and 3rd picture............the left end on bone seems to have been worn down/smooth
That end looks battered on top of mine
A person had a sawn piece of the same bone on Arrowheadology he dug from a midden
I still dont think they are Ham bones
Some kind of eaten animal yes................but not even a wild ferral hog from a 100 years ago would be that big
Bear,Big Horn Sheep,I dont know????,but some kind of animal that was eaten
If it was Ham bone would not a Bottle digger or a person who metal detects have found many of them digging around old home sites?
I want to see one if anyone have's one..........
I wished a few would answer that question,,,
why keep a bone-because it feels like a tool or weapon in hand and it would make a good Adze haft,,
Mine is solid as a rock/calcified.....................it would make a excellent hard hammer for knapping I would think?
I would like to hear some different type animal names for the bone.............what do you think??
I have had this for some time now
Any one else got one of the bones,The only 2 I have ever seen shown is the above two mentioned and one was just a piece
Where I found mine there was a Indian camp the in 1840's...................I did find the tip of a Antler point at the site!
I seen many bones over the years hunting arrowheads, but never those kind of bones
Cept yours Choo and the part of one Arrowheadology.............thought I would show mine
It just want to be 100 percent sure as to what animal the bone came from!
Some one set me straight...............as to the real animal
or please just show me a modern Ham bone to compare it with<
I really cant understand it being Ham!
