Looks like a talus. "ankle" bone. Definitely a bone that articulates with a larger bone. You can tell by the condyles.

Could it be a cuboid bone? This image is the closest I could find. I really hope not cause if it is it's probably from Indian remains? This area has had bones unearthed form the farmers sub soiling plows before. and a collage removed 2 sets of remains that were falling out of the riverbank about 15 years ago. I want someone to say it's defenatly anmial not human? HH

Could have been carved? I have one that looks like a chess piece{castle} stands up too! ever heard of that?

The bone appears to be the patella (knee cap) from a bovine...likely a cow. I hope this helps.
