Found this unusual bone looking object this morning on a walking path. It's relatively flat on the bottom and looks like rodents have been gnawing on it. Previously it must have been lying in the ground with the rounded side down. It weighs 3.8 oz and feels heavy for it's size especially since it's hollow. There's partial 'v' shaped rib on the inside. Dimensions: 4" x 1.5" x 1" high. The part that's been gnawed on looks more like rock than bone. The animal must have been fairly heavy due to the wall thickness and density of it. Any ideas?

It's a bone gary, but what kind I don't know. It may be a "milk bone", the kind which we buy for dogs, as they are very dense, the ends would have been well chewed to reduce the flare, and they would have been tasty to rodents perhaps.
