"Bon and Ajax Goldmining Co" Welcome to relic heaven

Bon and Ajax Co started from a small mining claim of about 30 by 60 feet to a full scale deep quartz mining claim that covers about 17,000 acreas.Owned by G.Emmat,H Lester and John Watson and produced over a million oz's of gold by chemical exstraction and crushing batteries.53 main shaft and fully serviced town "Williamstown" The last miners left in 1930's.heres the first days finds and all date between 1840 and 1930.Spring is here, down under and tin is turning the engines, on for a big summer. ;D ;D.

Great pics, Tinpan. I think I like the coffee mug the best. It would be interesting to know if the coffee mug company is still in business.

Thanks for the pics,tinpan.Terrific finds.I would think it would have been a tin coffee cup from those days.Shaving mug,maybe?

If only each relic you found could tell the story about it's owner and his dreams. A wonderful historical photo essay.
