Now do I have a terrific wife or what. We got a little late start this morning as I had some morning chores to tend to, so we rolled out around 11:00, Bobbie suggested we should go north, so off we went. First spot produced some clad, not much else. Second spot we each found 1-quarter and 2 -pennies , but I also found the infant 14k bangle bracelet, I weighed it when we got home and I was suprised that it weighed 5.2 grams. We continued detecting and couple of hours later I found the man's 10k ring with a synthetic sapphire it is a size 8. Here again, like where we found the bracelet earlier I only found 2 pennies besides the gold ring, so these sites had been hit hard.We detected couple more spots before calling it a day. We detected couple of spots last night and the one produced the silver ring in the picture. Weve added $18.00 to the clad coffers so far this week.
Lastly with the price of gold getting so high we decided to sell a little bit, the second pic shows how much we sold, this is in grams.

and congrats to all

Nice weekend so far!

I'm getting read to send in a little gold myself. Do you guys use UPS or FEDX?

Very impressive!

Ridley

Ridley,
we use USPS priority insured for sending, we dont have any problems. UPS is 30 miles plus away from where we live. We use midwest refiniery in michigan and they always treat us very nice

Dang. And here I was waiting on you two to open up that jewelry store. :D Awesome as usual Dave and Bobbie! Congrats!

Nana :)

WOW!!! Nice bag o gold!! With a price of gold at $691.60 as of the close of the market on Friday,
and breaking it down for 14kt gold (if the majority of the bag is 14k) at 140 grams is worth $1815.80!!!
Not bad for putzin around with a detector!! :)

Hi, Slabman Thank you. Dave and I are very methodical in this hobby that we share. Dave plots out our sites months in advance and we keep very accurate records of our finds and what sites we visit, rotating them on a continuous basis. The amount of time spent with this hobby of ours before we even leave the house dictates to a certain extent the success we will have. Needless to say alot of hours go into the planning before we ever pick up the detector to swing it, however once in a while I'll get a hankering to change the sites set for that day on a whim. HH and again, thank you, Bobbie

Hi Bobbie,
I understand. There's a few pro's here on the forum, and I'm sure they will tell you also,
that it's 98% research, and 2% go find it. I think I would like to just keep that bag around
to take out and oogle every once in awhile. Nothing like the shine of gold!! :) :) :)

HH Slabman

Hi Slabman,
It is ok that we get rid of this bag. We have several bags locked away in the safety deposit box at the bank. While dave keeps track of our records, I keep track of the price of gold ;D

Awesome job again you two....What do you do with any of the precious stone's before you send off all that LOOT,do you sell them as well?.....

I'd pop the stones out before I scrapped the jewelry.

Well done Dave!

civilman, nightstalker, bobbie does pop the stones out for the most part. She has them saved in a ziplock bag. We have talked about designing a custom made piece for her someday, using most of the stones except for the rubies, she doesnt care for rubies and it seems at times that is the stone we find more of

8) That is a huge!! amount of gold. I have only found 2 gold pieces and my hubby keeps telling me sell them. I can't but maybe someday when I get a bag of gold like that I will. Beautiful.

Good move cashing in some of that gold. That brought some $$$$. ;D You guys I'm sure have paid for your detectors by now.

You ever sell any of your silver?
