Boars Tusk Amulet & New Hunting Friend
First, I will like to introduce my friend Taka...She is from the Kyoto area of Japan.
Went back to the cliff area in the Jungle. Was thinking of bypassing it for a other spot, but wanted to take my friend Taka to somewhere easy and she also wanted to see what we call Jomon area.
The more and more I check this area with the stone tools, pottery shards and now this Boars Tusk Amulet. The more I think it is a very ancient place. If it is Jomon, it could be as old as 5000 years or older.

From the era of the Minatogawa humans there is a blank spot in our knowledge for about 10,000 years until the Neolithic era, around 7,000 years ago. This period in Japan extends through the Jomon Period.
Anyway, I found the first part of the tusk and when I saw the drilled hole I was very ecstatic and happy with this touch with the very far past. When I found the second half it really made mine and Taka's day. She really likes this type of thing! (Very rare in Japan) Anyway, with a little help from supper glue, I have made it complete. I guess I should turn this over someday in the future to the local museum and archaeologist, but you are kind of dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.
By the way, there are holes on both ends..Do you think it was worn as one piece or was this connected with others?
Anyway, I suppose this is my best non-metal find and will be hard to beat in the future!
Well, it won't be long now before I will be in a very different area of the world!
Everyone' Please have a Very Merry Christmas. I got my gift early!!
