Hello,
I just recently got my blue gold wheel back from my ex wife, who left it outside (filled with rain) then froze up all winter long. It didn't have a lid on it. Is this beyond repair/replacing parts? Should I just get a new one? Thanks!

Anything can be repaired ! I'd try some Clear Gorilla super glue on it and sand out the imperfections so you don't have any problem's ! post a picture of it when you get done !

What do you think about the rest removal?

Open it up check it out inside see if its all dry and give it a try. I have the same setup. How's the spiral pan itself?

Kinda hard to tell from the picture but that looks like you need some new clamps and a good cleaning. Put in some elbow grease. Looks plenty fixable unless I’m missing something.

its doesnt look bad, take it out ,clean it,plug it in,it just got a new complete motor and gear box for mine.150.00.is this a gold miner or desert fox, mine is the gold miner there number is 616 875 2044

Looks fixable to me -- Feed it some DC-- should be easy to diagnose what works and what does not.
Good luck
Mike

If there was a DC motor soaked in the water, new motor needed all else is fixable

Pumps are cheap .Built this DIY blue bowl w/a pump used for aquarium's , supplies plenty of water004.JPG

I recommend you stay single. If you get a new wife she may do the same thing :headbang:

Decided to open her up today. Quite a bit of rust. Might need to replace the on/off switch as well as the motor. But I’m letting stuff soak in vinegar for now then going to buff it all out and see what works and what doesn’t. Got new battery clips and a bunch of new nuts and bolts to replace the normal stuff.

Okay I think the motor is a tad too rusted. I’m not too knowledgeable when it comes to electricity. Can anyone help me find this motor and/or gear box? I have all the other replacement parts ready to roll. IMG_5144.jpg

I did! Gearbox was fine. New motor is like $10. $10 is much more affordable than $150. I dug deeper into it and took it all apart. Just haven’t updated this post just yet.

Parts are cleaning up nicely! Got all new plugs/fuse assembly/wiring/connectors/hardware/etc in the mail. Gearbox was just fine, so I just need to replace the motor, which is cheap. Most of the rust has been cleaned off. Steady as she goes!

Progress! New on/off switch, new plugs, and new fuse thingy. Just waiting on the motor to get here in a few days and I’ll have all the new pieces!

Where can I get a new one?
