The glass looks almost green, it could be a light cover for a flashlight or signal light.

Agree'd... maybe not pilot, but certainly a dashboard (car, plane, boat, whatever) jewel light.

They are called pilot or indicator light jewels no matter what they are in ,car ,kitchen stove , guitar amp or many other things.

It is definitely the slip over, push down and twist on, cover lens for some sort of small lightbulb. I have seen stuff like this on old automobile, farm equipment, and tractor dashboards.
