Blue glass top??

Dug this today at a old right away going thru some woods that connects one neighborhood to another . it was a good 5" deep and was about 4 feet away from where i dug a 1907 Barber dime and a Harmonica reed. glass is blue and the metal looks to be tin...anyone have a idea of what this is..thanks for looking.

The glass looks almost green, it could be a light cover for a flashlight or signal light.

Yours could be a bit older but heres a guitar amplifier with a 60's era cabinet and blue jewel light indicator. (a light bulb goes behind it) http://www.harrystrading.nl/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/608

It is definitely the slip over, push down and twist on, cover lens for some sort of small lightbulb. I have seen stuff like this on old automobile, farm equipment, and tractor dashboards.
