First off, did you dig that? second, it's beautiful! Have to say I have never seen agate that blue unless it has been dyed. But I wonder if it could possibly be another mineral? What state are you in. that could help in identifying.

I have a piece of Ellensburg Blue. It is one of the treasures I keep in my safe, what I meant was the deep blue in your piece. Are you going to have it cut? Or keep it rough? I prefer my pieces in their natural state.

Any update on this? You said you found a mine. Where are the other samples, boulders!?

He's in Pakistan, I actually PM'd him trying to buy some of this when he originally posted this. I have an interpreter and pay-pal ready:) Not sure about the legalities of buying direct from Pakistan and obviously I could lose out in another way but willing to risk a few hundo as it looks better /similar quality than Ellensburg.

To clarify. Agate is a variety of chalcedony. Chalcedony is a generic term used for microcrystalline quartz.
