I got a little time to go out today, back to my burn site. I found a pocket full of nail's and cast iron parts, but only found two item's that came home with me. Lost 1 pint of blood to the mosquito's( I belive they love off) and the weather has warmed up to a good 85 with 99% humidity. all in all it was worth it. I found a latch cover off an old pad lock( I think), it has M.W. & Co. on it and a state of Mississippi tax token(that's a frist for me). It is hard to see details of coin, but I did not won't to clean them( last time I got fussed at for doing that) Not sure what they did with tax tokens (I'm old but not that old.):icon_scratch: Token 002.JPG

That's a pad lock latch for sure. The Tax token was used to pay sales taxes that were in fraction amounts. They reduced a penny into 10th of a cent. So you is a 1mil token. nice finds in all.

It wasn't long ago I dug my first tax token.
They clean up nicely with an SOS pad
