I've considered one of these. They are not the best for sites (parks) with lots of non-ferrous trash (aluminum) correct? I have seen the videos and the depth is astounding. How well do they separate in trashy areas? I like to hunt parks so...any info in regard to that?:icon_scratch:

They separate very well...HOWEVER...being a single tone beep and dig without TID - they are not well suited for trashy parks.
They excel at finding non-ferrous at depth plus fantastic sensitivity to small non-ferrous in farm fields, pasture, woods, relic hunting. Plus they get great depth in highly mineralized soil - where one would need to use a PI machine because VLF/FBS just don't give any depth. So you get depth plus iron discrimination in that environment...

I see...of course you can discriminate out aluminum if you like though, right? Is there a significant loss of depth just like other machines in discriminate mode? BTW are these all reserved yet?

You can discriminate out small pieces of foil but larger pieces of aluminum will come through. You can also adjust the depth of discrimination as well as the level of discrimination. No discernable loss of depth.

I pick up lots of aluminum with my Deus too - it all sounds good unless it is right on the surface...I don't think that I can discriminate out aluminum on the Deus completely without discriminating out lots of other good stuff??

We have these units unaccounted for - they are available right now.

Yes then it seems great for anything but trashy areas...hmm well maybe I'll have the funds soon. Would you do one in 2 payments? It's ok if you can't but thought I'd give it a shot.
