Blazer button (Waring & Underhill)?

Don't have many button finds in my 'treasure box', however found this one some years back. I searched the net for some back ground on the button and found a site about a general store with reference to 1833-1836 store receipts from Waring & Underhill.

This button may not be that old, however interested to hear if anyone has a good reseach link about this company?

Front of button in bad shape :-[ Should I try to clean it?

Re: Blazer button (Waring & Underhill)?

Can't find the company listed in the 1840 NYC buisness directory. I did find another company reference by searching under cloth & dry goods.

Reckon the era 1833-36 is as close as I'll get as this company apparently had gone out of buisness shortly after this documented time frame.

Thanks input. Has anyone else found Waring & Underhill buttons?

I know this post is old but I stumbled upon it while looking up a Waring & Underhill button I found. Looks to be the same as yours. Found in Virginia.
