Those are 7.62 NATO blanks, they are also LIVE. Number 2 is from the Lake City Arsenal, Lake City MO, made in 1964, Number 3 is Western Cartridge Co. Of East Alton IL, made in 1963. They would be for the M14 rifle or M60 machine gun.

The red plug is cardboard, you can poke it in with a piece of copper wire, and dump the powder, then pour some 3 in 1 oil in to neutralize the primers if you're worried about them. Personally the only ones that would worry me at all are the ones that are really corroded.

I caught you on here at just the right time.8-) Yea I'm not worried about them.They would still fire though I'm sure cause I can here the powder in them shaking them.Just wasn't to sure what they went too.Nothing I've got :sadsmiley: . just started reading on a few sites about them.

7.62 NATO is the same as .308, so they'll chamber in any .308 rifle too. I'd never shoot them through anything I owned, or had to clean afterward though, they really foul up your rifle.
