You guys are so good,I've got another one for you. I found a blank"planchet" in my town 2 years ago,and no one can tell me anything. It's about 5 grams, copper or gold(never owned gold coins,so dont know for sure),and is approx.51/64",or 20.2mm.It has a perfect rim and a very smooth surface on one side(other side has been scratched pretty good, maybe gold test). The only US coin that comes close in size and weight is a 3 dollar gold piece.Any info would be appreciated. Once again,no pics...too dumb.

I know this its in the title :)

We like pictures, so please learn.

Thanks

It's actually called a "make your own coin kit." I like mine.

I've got a blank us penny, they're really not worth anything, even though they technically are "mint errors", without a date or anything else no-one wants them. I like to think of mine as the only known 1943-s copper cent in existence.

Hello, again, kind people of TreasureNet! This is absolutely the last time I post on this topic.I`ve wasted enough valuable space on this fine website.
Once again,THE COIN WITHOUT A FACE(or tail!)
smaller than a nickel, larger than a penny, and with the most perfect rolled rim(the only reason I kept it)
and I`ve been over this thing with a 16x loupe a hundred times and have found no writing on either face nor on the edges.Measurements are really all I have to offer as clues, except the building closest to the find was a hatchery around 100yrs ago or so.Assuming it was a fish hatchery, considering there is a decent size lake about 2 blocks away.
Thank you MM,for the encouragement, and thanks to everyone else, smartasses included!

(Based on the rim) - I have seen similar slot machine or car parking tokens (to exit a hotel carpark etc). So I think machine token.

Could be a copper knockout!!

I agree the edges are important. I don't think it is a knockout. It would have "ears" where it was attached to the plate.

Don't worry about taking up space or time here. We all do it. Try to work on you Macro setting for your camera. You're not there yet. PM me if you need help figuring it out.

Do you have a scanner? That will work better than your camera is now.
