Hi All,
Need some help from you button experts please.
Found what I believe is a blacksmith button. We were hunting a Spanish American war fort. Googled horseshoe button and up popped this plastic one. Mine was a metal one piece with molded eye on back with no writing. Question is. ..would this be period for this fort. 1898-1908. All finds are donated to the museum.
Thanks in advance,
Bunker

It might help to look at the back, as construction methods will help date your button.

Vintage riding blazer button. Horseshoe, crop, rope...

I'm guessing circa mid 20th C. We need to see the back to know for sure.

The museum volunteer has the button. I will see if he will send me a pix of the back. The front is just like the one I posted only in metal not plastic.
Thanks for your input!
