When those berries start ripening the birds will devour them.

Nice. I'm growing them in my yard. I took offshoots at the location I found my first silver coin. This will be the first year they've produced. I believe those are the same variety I have. Himalayan blackberry, considered a weed because it's not native to America.

I wish I had raspberries. All I have is black berries and tons of them. I don't like the little seeds that get stuck in your teeth. Gary

90% of the cellar holes i come across are engulfed in bryers/raspberry bushes, id say your getting close to..
I usally have to wait till early spring to swing around them and its still a pain in the butt...

You're up by Alpena if I remember correctly ?
Yeah, those berries are everywhere.
A couple acres worth at least.

The black berries that grew down the meadows I used to mow were under the high tension lines, last year the Eversourse Power crew came in and bush hogged them all down,be awhile now before they come back.I would pick and eat until I didn't want anymore, them I picked more for my wife.them things were huge.

Chris, those berries may be back already..blackberries grow fast,
and are all but impossible to kill.

Y'all want blackberries? Here's a couple shots of my backyard.
As you can see, the river is running high with snow and glacier
melt...the last few days have all been over 100F. Today as a
much more pleasant 70F, so far.

The berries are also a security barrier; nobody is going to try
to get through my backyard!
