Enjoyed finding money while our wives were spending money Friday. Don't know about Dave and Brad, but I didn't find near enough to cover what my wife spent.
We had a good day making nice finds at three of the four spots we hunted, even though the third spot was a fluke.
My finds were:
2 Mercs 1919, 1935
6 Wheats 1910, 15-d, 19, 19-d, 29, 56-d
1 silver button
1 Token: 1-QT
1 50 cal bullet (I think)
2 large Rimfire Cartridges
3 Acordian Reeds
1-1 mil Tax Token
1 Brass Gear
3 Keys
1 Silver Plated Lighter
This Brass Token is pretty cool. It has a 1 on top and QT below. It has no other writing on front or back but was apparently Gilded because there is still a small amount of Gold Plate left on the back after cleaning.
I am pretty convinced it was a token for a free quart of milk at a local Dairy. I have spent several hours researching and that's all I can figure. I found it in the same hole with the 1929 Wheatie.
