bit 'o gold

I went up to the local park with my daughter to practice hitting balls. This is her 2nd year playing softball and she's getting pretty good. First pitch she cranks one over my head and it rolls all the way to into parking lot. As I bend over to pick it up a tiny sparkle catches my eye. I figured I couldn't be that lucky, but put it in my pocket and forgot all about it till today. Upon closer examination I find it is in fact 14k. Yippie!
Thanks for looking!

Good thing the wife didn't find it in your pocket. Questions would have had to be answered. ;D ;D

Nice eyeball find.

That's funny you say that. The other day she gets in my van to go to softball practice and sees a cheap gold hoop earring hanging from my gear select lever. Next thing I know I'm getting the 3rd degree about who it belongs too. :icon_scratch: uhhh..... I dug it?? And shes like..."Looks pretty clean for being dug" :violent1:

That's a claddagh earring!

No wonder you were getting the 3rd degree. Way back in the day, Kandy helped me pick out one of those rings for a girlfriend of mine... in fact it was her idea to get that type of ring. She knows all about the meaning behind them.

Nice eyeball find!

Great discovery! And you didn't even need a detector. . . just a softball ;D

Take care,
Mark

Yeah, its a good thing...I doubt if my DFX would even produce a sputter going over a target like that.

Re: bit 'o gold

Getting me some soft balls!
Uhh, no, not like that.
Chasing softballs.
Uhh, there's no way to make this new TH'ing methodology sound right, John.

Nice find, John!!  :icon_king:

A good reminder that the next time anyone finds jewelry laying on the ground, put some dirt on it, dig a plug, lay it on top, and take a photo! ;D
