There is a local artisan in central KY who specializes in making native american items. I picked up the necklace this morning at a booth that he had set up. Even though it is modern, I thought it was pretty neat. This guy makes everything from necklaces to flint knives. He is very talented. He makes sure that disclaimers are posted that state these items are modern made and not ancient.
The second pic shows a couple of arrows that a friend of mine made for me. The turkey feathers are from a turkey that he brought down last year. He makes his own arrows for hunting. He said that I needed a set to put on my wall over my display cases. He is going to knap a couple of points to finish them out.

Thanks for looking.

I really like that necklace Adena_man, but I don't know if i'd wear it or not. It looks like it would be cumbersome to wear.

Thanks Dorkfish. I would only wear it to aggravate my wife. She wanted to go out to eat so I put it on and told her I was ready. The look on her face was priceless! ;D

Good luck!

You guys kill me ;D ;D

Adena-man you and your wife sound like me and mine, yall must have been married awhile. Great necklace, I like that knapped cross.

We have a restuarant here in our Airpark that serves very good breakfasts--scratch built biscuits and gravy that cloggs the artieries if you just look at it. Man is it good--got real, local made sausage, chunked up and cooked down into it. My wife says all the good ole boys (old pilots that wear their hat bills a little crooked) get together just to look at the coed waitress--naw man, trust me, its the food.

We've been married for 22 years now. She's put up with a lot. ;D I still can't get her to go point hunting with me. I even told he she could work on her tan while walking the field.

Good luck!
