Birthday hunt and we found an old foundation in the middle of the woods

Well We started out at 6:45 for my birthday hunt. Went to a new spot and while walking in the woods we found a old home side...We found all kinds of stuff and a few coins. Well no coins for me.
My first find was the hatchet/ax head. the side is broken off but it is a killer find. It has a odd shaft angle, can anyone else see the funky shaft angle?

A everyone, So take a look at the ax head will ya, and please give me your best shot on the handle angle and use. I can't stop wondering about it.
I am going to find someone with an electro setup to clean it for me.
