I found this little rock inside a piece of shale which has some fossils on it like trilobites, I think the rock looks like an osprey on one side and a small bird or fish on the other, do you think it could be a piece of art or has it just happened naturally.
Not sure I see a bird in there. My guess you have some kind of ancient fossilized sea creatures. If it was a bird fossil. Paleontologist & Ornitologist would be going ape Sh** . I'm sure someone on this sight will know what it is you have. Can you tell us the location of your find?
Piece of a shell or coral. As Tamrock said - biological and earth science would be astonished as you'd have put birds on earth 350 million years sooner than the rest of the fossil record shows if one was in a layer with trilobites.
Artwork has been found in rocks dated to millions of years ago. This would suggest the dating methods are way off. It looks like a magpie, not osprey. The curve of the beak is more gentle, not a hook.
