wonder what they were standing on to take that pic. water tower maybe? looks pretty flat but maybe a hill? I love chking out old pix from the towns around me. makes me want to dig under the sidewalks.
 

Most likely from the grain elevator along the tracks. The street in the foreground is Lincoln Ave. Railway Street is the cross street. There is nothing closely resembling the buildings today, one block north, on the east side is Dalyn Enterprises; they make MD diggers and tools in addition to metal fabrication.
