Bill would prohibit using drones to harass sportsmen

When the FAA releases commercial rules, which Congress requested by Sept. 30, 2015, then farmers, realtors, filmmakers, photographers, foresters, college researchers and police will prepare drones for takeoff. Opponents might cite concerns for privacy, quiet and safety while seeking to ground the pilot-less flights.

While hunters hide in a blind to wait for ducks, state Rep. Gerald Mullery doesn't want unmanned aircraft to swoop down on them.
Mullery, D-Newport Township, introduced a bill in the state House that prohibits the use of drones to harass hunters, anglers or boaters.
An advertisement selling drones for $324.99 to people who want to monitor illegal hunting led Mullery to draft the bill

i saw on the local craigs list where some one was paying a reward for an expensive one with camera attached that was 'lost'
who knows what they were filming.

It's kind of sad that we need another bill/law to prevent something that should be covered by existing laws.

Is this a mosquito? No. It's an insect spy drone for urban areas, already in production, funded by the US Government.

It can be remotely controlled and is
equipped with a camera and a microphone.
It can land on you, and it may have the potential to take a DNA sample or leave RFID tracking nanotechnology on your skin.

It can fly through an open window, or it can attach to your clothing until you take it in your home.

Given their propensity to request macro-sized drones for surveillance, one is left with little doubt that police and military may look
into these gadgets next.

(And to think we were worried about West Nile virus!)

And now you know why our government has requested the law be changed to allow drone surveillance in the United States...
