Ok, now you are all looking at this post.
I hit a new area in the woods at a local park near my office.
First signal was an almost complete set of harmonica reeds so I knew I found the site this time, 2 other hunts here and no dice, but hitting the old woods is always a gamble.
Then I hit this deep distinct zincoln target, I love these in the old woods as they are usually a flat button.
Dug the plug to 6" and the target was still small and distinct and a few inches deeper and out pops this huge copper coin. I'm thinking so deep in an old map location, this has to be a colonial coin I'm not aware of as it is way larger than a LC. It turns out to be a holed $1 Playboy Token from the old Casino in Atlantic City.
Still sort of cool and definitely unexpected.
About 10 feet away another similar signal, but only 2" deep and it is a really nice green 1887 IHP.
Here is everything from today's lunch hour hunt.
Heading to SoCal for a business trip tomorrow, see yinz on the beach...
Good luck out there!
