Another mystery origin auction piece, bought in se Kansas but could be from anywhere. Any opinions on what it is? I looked at early triangles but the flaking isn’t right, thinking maybe ft ancient or a plains triangle?

Sounds like fort ancient is out. I noticed the thickness too but my mind was on the other end of the spectrum, I was wondering if it wasn’t a cobbs or something that got sharpened down into a thick triangle. Preform would be a less complicated explanation. There was a bunch of other preforms in the box but they were all long narrow points with an oval base so I don’t think they are related.
