I went back to my swimming home and got 3 unexpected surprises. I didn't think this place was old enough for what came out, but, I'm not complaining πŸ˜‰

Some coins look better with some dug patina. I dug this last January, I wish I would have left it the way I found it.

Never dug a silver dollar, so it looks really good either way to me.

At first I preferred clean coins, after a few years, I now prefer β€œas found”.

This was dug from a fresh water beach in Texas that was exposed, it's been under water on and off for years. The dirt in NM does the same thing due to the alkaline in the soil.

That was my first in 30 years of digging. If I it another one, it's staying all natural.

Dug all that trash and more and this was what was hiding in it. Only 4 pieces of gold so far.
