Big Silver and Little Silver in the Same Hole!...Captain Midnight Token Nearby!

[Cool Hand Fluke]

Again this weekend I swung my coil through the ivy, weeds, and bushes. A variety of old an unusual metal items have been found in this area. Today was no exception. An old rubber stamp token, a Captain Midnight token, and a sterling silver thimble were dug out of the ivy and weeds today. Several foreign coins and 8 wheaties were also found.

The icing on the cake was a glory hole I dug! A 1941 walking liberty half, mercury dime, and a wheatie were in the same hole!

This area is infested with trash, my pouch was full of it. Lots of coins today, 135 total!

Nice finds CHF. That was one great outing with that variety of finds, especially that Walker. Your Captain Midnight token also seems to be a "spinner" token. Look on the front side in the center and you will see that little bump. Put that side face down on a table or counter top, and spin it with 2 of your fingers. If you give it a good spin, it will go for 15 or 20 seconds before fizzling out. These were advertising tokens, but also meant to be toys for the kids to play with. I have found a few spinner tokens, although none of them were Captain Midnight. Very nice find.

I found my third capt midnight token this year, all just like yours. A few years ago I found a capt midnight decoder which is brass as well but has two plasic wheels that would have spun inside it.
The walker coin spill musta been a blast!
The silver thimble is the find of the day, imo.
