I returned to an area I hit earlier this month that gave up an 1875 Seated Liberty Quarter and 1-Infantry Coat button. This time I recovered a beautiful 1900 Barber Half, 3 more Infantry buttons and 1 Artillery button plus some other colonial goodies.

Great day, Riverdiver! Still looking for my first large barber. HH

I'd take that Barber find any-day of the week !!! Lots of nice "Swishies" there for sure too =) Good work there!CARM

Great finds , the only big silver I ever found was a 1944 walker, and I found that in Manchester,NH

Very nice set of find! What detector are you using under water?

AMAZING NUMBER OF EXCELLENT FINDS - WOW! :notworthy: Must feel really good to dig first coin of the century & in such good shape. Andi

Nice looking finds! Love the half and Civil War buttons also the whole clay pipe. Good luck on the next dive!

Got to say that quite a good marble haul too! :icon_thumright:

I dream of the day I find by silver! Great finds!

How are you finding the clay pipes and stems are they visual finds? I love seeing the old pipes found they are awesome.

Cool finds Matt, how much more air did you use when you found that Barber?:laughing7: GodBless and be safe my Friend, Chris

PS Haven't been under yet this year, got a few spots to check though, old swimming holes.

The 2 things I love to do most but so far have only done at a time...diving and metal detecting! Awesome finds!

Hi doc-d and back-of-the-boat,

Doc the river maxes out at 28' and averages 15'.

Back-of-the-boat are you ready for this...all of my finds for the last 3 years have been visual, like a fool I left batteries in my detector and rotted the wires. I have found so much more by hand fanning that I have not had the detector fixed, there is a lot of large iron chunks in river bottoms that wash out the good signals, so I hand fan and stay really close to the bottom and eyeball the finds.
