Howdy all,
I took a trip to pick up a new drafting table today and used the opportunity a to do a little hunting. I stopped by a soccer field I have been workin on and off for a couple years. And ended up getting what I thought was a token. I was happy with that but then I noticed the edge and saw some lettering. Turns out its .999 pure silver and weighs in at an ounce. Now that by itsself would have made my day. But it kept getting better. I hit the fields around the old Fort and was figuring on gettin a couple more 3 ringers for my display. I have been hopin for a button for a while but until today I always just got a fair amount of bullets. I have never seen an eagle button dug in Washington State but know they are out there. Today I proved myself right. Sorry for the quality of the video. Like always I am still learning. The tag is a brass cow tag from back in the day, and counts as a keeper as well. Thanks for lookin and luck in the hunt.

Thanks Guys. I know the button is cruddy, but it means there are more out there. Hopefully the next one is in better condition.

Nice!!!!!! I bet the coin was dropped by a soccer referee. Probably was the coin he used to flip to see who kicks off first. I've found a couple clad halves on soccer fields, I assume they were lost the same way. The eagle button is sweet. I am a little surprised we haven't seen a couple more come out of WA. Good to see you posting.

I had originally thought the silver round was a soccer flip token. I find a few in just about every soccer field I hunt. This is only the second pure ounce round I have ever found. I know there are more buttons in that field. But the grass is so thick I will have to wait til winter.

Re: Big Silver, 3 ringers, and My First Eagle Button

Hi JuJu, well done and keep looking for those buttons, and that silver token/medallian looks really great :icon_thumleft:, it would have made my day also. Why does one side look gold?.

It has as epoxy coating of some kind. It actually popped off when I was rinsing it in the sink. Underneath looks like a proof stamp.

Re: Big Silver, 3 ringers, and My First Eagle Button

Nice finds Juju..... that silver round
probably blew your headphones off
when you put your coil over it!! The
eagle button is a little worn, but like you
said, there are more there that will be
in better shape. Congrats on the hunt.
