On April 9 I found this large Masonic ring at a club I have permission to detect. It is a nice big one weighing in at .46 Troy ounces or 14.3 grams of 10k gold. I tried to make contact with the club office to report the find so it could be returned, but played phone tag with the administrator for over a week. I finally had time to go in and see him and he said he would try to contact the membership to see if anyone had lost a ring. Later that afternoon he called and asked if the ring I had found was a gold Masonic one and I said it was. He said he knew who the owner was and he would have him call me. Not 5 minutes later I got a call and we arranged for him to meet 30 minutes later and I returned the ring. I was sure it was his because it fit and he had in a Masonic t shirt, a Masonic hat and his license plates were Masonic as well.
He lost it last summer and was sure he would never see it again. He was a happy camper.
