I don't post as much as some of you guys. Seems most of what I find doesn't measure up. But some days the planets line up. So I keep digging. Got out for some me time today. 20160815_195642.jpg20160815_195709.jpg20160815_164028.jpg Working in a different city 45 minutes away. Saw a lot beside Popeyes chicken. Decided to check it out after work. I found this J.G. Tarver ring. I think I saw one posted on here before. Cool find for me. Going back today ,see what else might show itself. Thanks for looking.

Capt, I really don't know why ANYONE feels they have to measure up. THIS is a HOBBY. Fun and relaxing. It isn't a who gets the most, who has the best spots, who thinks they are better, and who has the best machine forum.

This is a forum for ALL to come, gain knowledge and share their finds. I go out sometimes and find a single silver or junk ring. I still post. I also go out sometimes and make a killing.

Post your finds. Enjoy the hobby. Don't feel like your finds are less important than others. I sure don't.

Yes I have seen that ring once before. Looks like you got a good amount of clad also. Congrats on getting out and enjoying the hobby.

I agree with Scuba - am I'm not sure what, if anything, there is to measure aside for the pure joy of this hobby. I enjoy seeing others finds. This is a great example. I've never heard of of JG Tarver ring, so now I'll have to read up on it to satisfy my curiosity - so Congrats and thanks for sharing!

I also agree with Scuba. This is a hobby and supposed to be fun, not a competition. I enjoy seeing all of the finds posted. Congrats on that gigantic ring!

Everything is bigger in Texas! lol Nice find

Totally agree that there is no measuring up here.

I am on the West coast, so there is not a lot of old stuff here, but I sure enjoying the East coast hunters posting their finds.

I feel a little jealous sometimes, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Very cool ring, congratulations! :occasion14:

Cool find. Thank you for sharing your hunt with us. Always looking to see others finds. Love it when they include a photo of the trash too. Keeps everything in perspective. My five gallon bucket is overflowing from my junk. My keepers for the year number fourteen. It's all about having fun. If something cool finds itself under the coil, bonus!
