Big O'le Honking Silver Ring

Had an hour to kill after dropping my daughter off at ballet so I decided to detect the sidewalk area next to the curb. After a few clad coins I hit my first wheat penny 52 d and then my machine went bonkers....I figured a sprinkler head or pipe but the VDI and sound was to consistent so I dug it and found a huge silver ring. I thought at first that it was a pipe cupling or some type of fitting but it wasn't copper or brass looking so I check the inside and sure enough (stamped 925). My largest and heaviest silver ring, It cleaned up really nice too. Enjoy the pic.

That is one massive hunk-o-silver! Nice reward on a short hunt, congrats! :hello2:

Nice one! Is it possible that it's actually a sterling napkin holder versus a ring? Either way, cha-ching! $$$

I didn't consider that...it just might be due to it's unusual curvature and size. Thanks for the post.
