big old silver ring today 2nd hole dug whooo hoooo.

went out after work today. found this at a 1800's old house site.. did my second happy dance in a week...this was my second time out this year.
no markings but i'm sure it's silver..

Man, that is a nice looking woven band - I've been silversmithing for a lot of years - and I have no idea how to weave / braid that rascal.
I'd like to see the solder join area on that, to see how they made everything match up .

hey there and thanks for commenting on the ring i found today.
i just took it off my finger and took a couple of pic.s it has some markings on a couple of places on the inside.
i'll let you know if i can read them.. i think it's stamped? .miv on a flat spot and maybe 128 on another spot next to eachother..?
