Went out yesterday with the wife and my son. We took the hour drive to go to the money field. First thing I found was a half dime. Yes, a Rosie cut in half. A clean cut, not by lawn mower. Then I pulled a thimble, gold colored. I gave it a squirt and light brushing and the gold color faded. It was aluminum. I began to pull the dirt out of the inside when an oyster she'll button popped out. To cool. Like cracker Jack's with a prize inside. After lunch lunch I pulled a beautiful 10k, 6.5g gold ring. What a way to cap off a great day detecting with the family. My son got a boy scout kerchif slide and a bunch of clad. My wife got a bunch of clad.

Awesome hunt! Congrats! That’s great that the family can enjoy the day doing this!

Awesome ring! Congrats!!

cool ring. dates to the late 1930s in my opinion

Very nice ! I second jewelerguy's dating of 1930's for the ring - someone wore that ring for many years !

That’s a great ring! :occasion14:

Unfortunately your half dime is the worst variety :laughing7:

The finds are great but I gotta say I?d love it if my kids would get into it with me so congratulations on that. You?re doing well.
