Big Dover Celt

I've always wanted a big dover flint celt since I was little kid and held one that measured 18 inches long. After looking for years for one that measured over a ft. I finally ran across this one for sale. It measures 14.5 inches long and is super polished. It has a small amount of damage on one corner of the bit but not much. It was found on the neighboring farm to the famous Link Farm where the Duck River Cache was found.

Super piece! I would love to see more pics showing bit, polish, flaking etc. Super piece! i have found one chipped, polished celt in my life. It is made of breathitt and you can see your reflection in it.

Boy they sure were making them big down that way. I guess they didn't have to carry their flint very far. Nice celt.
