I don't get many of these early large collar type (sometimes referred to as 'dump issue', although this was slightly earlier), I like finding them in good condition, by that I mean seeing the date. so nice job :icon_thumright:

First I have found of this issue. And you are right probably 50 percent of my coppers you cant get a date off of. But this one has held up suprisingly well.

Are you sure you see 1727, and not 1717?
Another pic needed if you say it is 1727, there were no KGI or KGII Halfpence in 1727.

Copper Halfpence Many issues under George I, 1717 to 1724
Many issues under George II, 1729 to 1754
George III – limited issues and numbers, 1770 to 1775

Copper Farthing
(1/4 pence) Many issues under George I, 1717 to 1724
Many issues under George II, 1730 to 1750, 1754-1763
George III – limited issues and numbers, 1771, 1773-1775

OK, 1723 is a good common year for them, congrats, not many KGI Halfpence are found, more William III coppers show up for some reason..
