Terry, Jeff & I met at the festival site again today. It was damp and in the mid-30s and muddy. We hunted for five hours and I came away with my biggest one day dollar total in clad ever...$13.54 (96 coins). I also found a Mexican coin I cannot identify. It has an eagle with a snake on one side and a number 20 with a mountainous scene on the other side...anyone know what it is? Lastly, I found the turtles ornament about 3 inches deep(doing their thing).....who would buy something like that Thanks for looking

The coin is a Mexican 20 centavos dating 1943-74. The metal is bronze. A few dates/varieties in the 40's and 50's can bring $2-3 apiece, but most are worth around 15-35¢.

Er... about those turtles...

A similar brooch was listed on eBay recently for $9.99.

A co-worker of mine in GA had a similarly designed pin he wore on one of his hats...featuring 2 hogs...he called it "Makin' Bacon".

Totally tasteless I know, but TRUE.

As we used to say, he "...had a card".
