Is it worth it to save them? I found one in a roll of quarters I got to do laundry (hooray for being a poor college student -_-). In total I've got about 10 of them. I know the Bicentennial halves are pretty much throwbacks, but is it different with quarters?

Playing the numbers game, there should be a bigger premium on bicent. halves than quarters, by MULTIPLE times, but there are more bicent. halves in circulation than quarters (doesn't take a genius to figure out why).

People DEFINATELY take the quarters out of circulation, and at quite a big pace. They are by no means hard to find if you go through boxes of quarters, but harder than finding halves in their own boxes.

It would hurt to save a roll or two of them for your kids or grandkids when they are even harder to come by and therefore worth a little more of a premium.

I have two rolls of them now, and am debating whether or not to keep anymore I get or release them back into the wild. Techincally by taking more and more out of circulation I am increasing the value of the ones I already have, so perhaps I will continue to take them and hoard them and hope others do the same.

Just checked ebay, and if you sell a roll or more at a time, you can get a couple bucks above face per roll.

Awesome. I'll keep saving the ones I get and hope I can build a few rolls.

Could have some premium someday, maybe a 100 years from now....the mintages were so high (>500m for the half & >1.6b for the quarter) I don't see how they would ever be worth much more than face

Yet they are... the quarters anyway, and that is at present time... premiums should be MUCH higher for our children and grandchildren. I don't see the halves ever being worth more in circulated condition, as the coins themselves circulate so little and very few get pulled.
