Went back with George to my 1808 house, found my first clad Ike Dollar. I had a 93 signal that sounded so sweet, I dug big but not deep because it was telling me 2 inches. When I pulled the plug there was nothing there. I stood back up to check to see if it was ringing high above the ground, but at 2-3 inches high the signal faded out. That got me real excited. I dug deep and wide and pulled the dirt out with my hands, I seen a thick reeded edge and thought, "Morgan"! I gently knocked off some dirt to see clad, then rubbed off to reveal Ike's face I thought it was a Kennedy at first. It was very exciting at first, still cool for me, maybe not everyone else. I found a 1925 Wheat, a old spoon with no marks on it and a buckle (horse tack) I think maybe this place was nighthawked, George thinks the ground has been moved for landscaping (it has a little) There is MUCH iron everywhere (11 acres) I think I'll let it be for awhile until we get about a two day steady rain, then go back. I don't want to become a pest. I'm going to talk with the owners about doing a privy dig, but wait until winter to ask and do it then. Such a beautiful property, it has been fun detecting there.
