Got back to the old Bible Camp site. Not much exciting.

Seems area was used as a dump after it closed in late 40' early 50's. Junk all over.. Spent my time searching for the dumps from the original camp, no luck yet. Did find the outhouse location, about 45 yards from the main foundation. Have to get my courage up if I ever go down.

The excitement was in the hunt to find this location, not sure if the work will pay of with many good finds; think I will be putting it on the back burner for a while; places to search for, things to dig.

Photos; the white thing is a jar lid, think it came from a cold cream jar since it is strange shape and would help you turn if your hands had cream on them; bottle, cap gun, side of fishing reel, fork, spoon, buckle, nothing special.

all have a good un.............

Neat finds Sherman!!! I don't know that I would be so fast to give up on that site though!!! :o

Ya never know!.... :)

i dunno sherm....that capgun is pretty cool! do be carefull if you decide to climb in that privy!! it would really suck to get stuck in there!!!!

Those are decent finds by my standards sherman! That fork and spoon definetly look older than the 40's or 30's, Any markings on them? Those are outhouse holes?? I have seen some on the side of wachusett mountain (a popular ski destination in my town, basically the only thing the town is known for besides their homemade baked crackers ;D btw has anyone seen any of those? They have a red building on them and say westminster crackers, but they are now baked in vermont lol...anyway! nice finds sherman :)

Those finds definitely have some age to them, looks like a great site...
I don't know if I would go down into the out-house, but I would definitely search around it pretty good...
Good luck & Happy hunting~

Not giving up on it.

Have a few other projects I want to work on this year. Will probably go back in the late fall, may be able to eye the site better then.

Think I may have taken this site search a bit to seriously and need for it to rest a bit. Besides I think that every time I leave it, all the thorn bushes get together and hold a meeting; and actually move to where they think I'm going on my next visit, I'm sure of that; I'm looking like a pin cushion every time I get home.

all have a good un.............
