Some people think this is a toy. It still finds coins very nicely. All these were in the same hole!

When I go out hunting with some people and bring my Fisher 1266x they look @ me like "really?" well @ the end of the day when I have 5x more relics then them mainly in search of hut sites and they have no clue how to find huts, whose laughing now? it all boils down too experience. I know people you can send out in the woods with just a shovel and they will come back with more relics then what you would find with a MDer.

Yes.....my "toy" BH Discovery has found this:

These are the silver coins I have found with my BH 3300 stock coil in the last 3 1/2 months:

1. 1901 Barber Dime (found 1st Day, 12/13/2012 using the BH 3300)
001.JPG002 (1).JPG
2. 1964 Roosevelt Dime
3. 1952 Washington Quarter
4. 1941-D Mercury Dime
5. 1924 Mercury Dime
6. 1946 Roosevelt Dime
7. 1949-D Roosevelt Dime
8. 1962 Roosevelt Dime
9. 1943 Mercury Dime
10. 1942 Mercury Dime
11. 1941 Mercury Dime
12. 1960-D Roosevelt Dime
13. 1942 Washington Quarter
14. No Date 1840-1865 Seated Liberty Quarter
15. 1924 Mercury Dime (Found Sunday 3/24/13)
16. 1942 Mercury Dime (Found Tuesday 3/26/13)
17. 1941 Mercury Dime (Found Friday 3/29/13)

Happy Hunting!
!

Bill

P.S......AND does my "toy" find the clad?.....here is an example on the day I found item #10 above:

2/10/13: Beautiful Day for hunting!! Found 164 coins consisting of 31 clad quarters, 50 dimes that included a 1942 silver Mercury dime( the year I was born), and 83 of the 95% copper cents that included 7 wheat cents. I was running high discrimination, rejecting all modern copper coated zinc cents dated after 1982 to cut my digging time. That's a total of $13.58 face value. Another GOOD Day!!

My BH has found silver, gold, tiny jewelry, etc. Though it found gold several times in the hands of my son when we shared it, there's only been silver for me, ha-ha! He now has Teknetics detector & finds silver & gold with that also, but I'm not complaining cuz now I get BH all to myself. Some people, like my son, seem to have a bit of ESP or instinct to detect in the most productive part of a field or park; for example, my son usually finds his best stuff right away regardless of the site! Have fun! Andi

Question, bought a disc.3300.can you use any headphones with it as long as I use a 1/4" jack? How about ear buds??.

did someone here call it a toy? looks like it finds stuff to me. just because a detector doesn't cost a thousand bucks doesn't mean it won't find stuff

Treasures in the ground have no idea how much the detector cost and doesn't care.

I started this tread because people would tell me that my Bounty Hunter was not a real metal detector. I wanted to show that is does find stuff. I went metal detecting with some friends and let one of my friends use my MXT Pro and I pulled my Bounty Hunter out of storage to use. It kept up up no problem.

I hunt with mxt,and a friend has a bh,he can keep up with me any day of the week....

will a $1000 fishing pole catch more fish? one has to know how to wiggle the worm, so to speak. good job

Use what you like, that's what it's all about.

I got kids wife mortgage and strapped for cash.got the bh 3300 for 240,in my shoes its top grade and work just fine.Im not trying to show it off to brag but for the love of the hunt! Good enof for me.lets dig!!

Wow!! This is very interesting, because of this thread.....Found a 15 coin drop in one hole yesterday, in the same baseball field that I found my last silver 1942 Mercury Dime on Tuesday.......What was interesting, I was running on full discrimination, rejecting nickels and modern post 1982 zinc cents.
The mix was 1 clad quarter, 2 clad dimes, 3 nickels, and 9 pennies which were ALL post 1982 zinc cents....YET I received a strong dime quarter, high tone and VDI signal and they were all only 2 inches deep......it was amazing while rejecting the 3 nickels and the 9 zinc cents.......nothing was dated after year 2000........Good test on the BH 3300 for a mix multiple drop. Your right; it is NOT a TOY!!

Looks like that toy found some pretty good stuff to me!

I picked a bh3300 up at a local pawn shop for $38.....I may run my ATPro but if landowners or friends want to try their hand at md'ing I pull that out for them to try. I have tried it and it works just fine ......know what your machine is saying and you will find good stuff.
