Hi all,

Ok, so I know how everyone likes to talk about their BGT. I have made up my mind, going to just get a BGT. Now my question is, is which one is best? They all pretty much wire same but I wanted to know, is the super mini the best for the money or would the snipers be better. Or would the prospecters be better. I guess I really want to know which is best for two people to shovel a good amount if dirt.

Thanks

Not sure about the Sniper yet.The Super Mini is good for backpacking but for any production the prospector is a really good bet.

May as well get the big one (4 footer) if you have two people to dead lift it out of the river.

I have yet to test 2 people shoveling into the 48" prospector but with good water I suspect it will work.
Also, welcome to team BGT! Start stretching your shovel muscle now ;)

The title of this thread was like a Bears fan hearing it was Ditka vs. Ditka!

Well I have the mini (bought it before the super mini was available) and it is nice for checking areas out, but for moving lots of material go with a prospector if you have the water.
The miners look like a beast, but the prospector will clean out in a 5 gallon bucket, so you don't have to bring along a tub for your cons.
I just ordered the prospector. Got the 36 inch to (hopefully) hook up the highbanker attachment or make my own. The added length will help with the water settling down into a straight flow.
The sluices catch some fine gold too. You won't be disappointed.

Get the 24" sniper and the 36" prospector

One for backpacking one for carrying short distances

36" prospector. You wont be disappointed:icon_thumleft:
Best value and sluice bang for the buck. Will handle 2 folks shoveling and cleans out into a 5 gal bucket. (let each shovel full clear before adding another one)

The extra length helps with the flow and the separation of material as well as accepting a full #2 shovel load and also provides better fluidization of the trap due the wider flair of the scoop.

If you are only going to get one bgt sluice that's the best all around one to have. (in my opinion)

GG~

My 30" prospector in the creek yesterday. For two people I would get the 36"...or a Miner if you'll ALWAYS have two people. You're going to love the combination of high yardage and fine gold capture with either model. Best sluice out there bar none!

1/4 gram of (mostly) fine gold from yesterday's couple hours of sampling/digging.
