WHAT KIND OF TREASURE ARE WE HUNTING TODAY ?
Detector(s) used
MINELAB E TRAC, EXCAL2,QUATTRO,WHITE 6000 DI PRO SL,EAGLE SPECTRUM,SILVER UMAX ,BANDIDO UMAX VARIOUS VINTAGE
so i was disguted w the performance of the ez mega cam.

now renamed by me the ez mega crap.

when i was shopping for a different camera, i wanted to make sure

and get one that did not use special batteries.

hmm...hewlett packard is a good brand...takes regular aa batteries

so i bought the m303.

BEWARE OF THIS CAMERA AND ALL ITS RELATIVES..

THE BATTERIES IT USES ARE AA ALL RIGHT. BUT THEY MUST BE THE HI

mAH TYPE..ONLY LITHIUM AA WILL WORK. AND THESE COST 9 BUX FOR 2.

REGULAR AA ALKALINES MAY WORK FOR 1 or 2 pictures only.

dont make the unhappy mistake i made...

Get the rechargable type? Its what I have and have taken thousands of pics with the. :dontknow:

yes im using rechargeables. the 2500 mAH are the highest output i can find

if taken directly off the charger they last 7 to 12 pix.

i have seen 2700 ones on the net. but cant find a reg store

that has them.

we have a kodak digital camera and we use the high dollar enegizers in it and we had to use elcheapos because of cash flow last year and our chip got messed up found out only supposed to use the lithium ones in it so i have no new pics of the last months digs and we have had some good photo ops of the kids didnt get them that sucks i am about to go back to 35mm throw aways for family stuff and use a cheap digital one for my digs and sell the kodak

yep thats what we do disposables on trips

Most digital cameras have the batteries as the "weak link".

They are sensitive to being underpowered, for sure.

Mine (the one I'm using currently) will use almost any batteries, except for the ones that have a dimple in the end - it will not even start up with those - unfortunately, I found that out after I bought a pack of 24 batteries :tongue3:

That's ok, I will use them in my detector.
