Just read that the Greek 1 year bond yield is 403%!! That is even better than gold and silver for a 1 year term.
I think I will stick with PMs for now. Probably will be a dip in silver prices though, in that I picked up some cheap silver. Picked up what many feel is the lowest of the low in silver bullion-- .999 holiday type 1 ounce bars/rounds (Merry Christmas, Happy Anniversary, etc). I picked through the stash and got for the most part ones that had well known private mint hallmarks-- National, Madison Mint, etc,-- all passed the "ping" test and some had some slight tarnish. Also found some nice, Apmex one ounce bars mixed in there still in the plastic. I guess somebody thought they were holiday bars because of their design. Not bad for less than 25 cents over spot. Funny thing is, those holiday type bars are more expensive than silver eagles when you buy them brand new, but in the secondary market they are cheaper than anything else generally speaking.
