The hot streak continues.

Decided to go with low disc and keep zinc/1cent active and was I happy I did.

Found this reading very low around a trashy picnic area.

I believe its a 1725 Louis XV silver

Also found an old skeleton door latch and a button ( not sure how old either is).
and an old shlitz cap.

Wow. Now that's a French silver. (Banner) Looks like a 1725-H 1/2 ECU. What is the diameter? It has some value, but I see no listing for H mint in my Krause so it might even get a little better.

Looks like probably a 1 ECU as there is a 1725-H. $125 in VG, $350 in Fine. I did find a couple of 1/2 ECUs with the H mint mark and interesting both were from a shipwreck.

Iron patch to save the day!

That is a gorgeous Frog coin!

Guessing most won't be able to put this one in perspective... many time rarer to find than an 8 reales, at least the milled ones.

No, but some pretty awesome detecting bragging rights. Is it the size of a half dollar, or dollar coins? (or smaller?)

That's in great shape 4 colonial silver. Congratulations on a great find. With the addition of the shlitz cap Banner all day

Half dollar i believe ,i thought it was a kennedy at first.

Excellent find and congrats! Really nice detail on a very uncommon coin.

Great detail on that old silver! What a find - Congrats!

Then a 1/2 ECU, and the two from that mint I seen online were the shipwreck coins. Not that it matters, other than to suggest since the book shows no H mint mark, most might have been lost in that wreck.

Congratulations on a very special find. I knew you would do well in your area. Keep up the good work.

I cannot believe I found this post buried. I am bumping it up because I think this should be in the banner. It's in perfect condition. And a much rarer find than Spanish silver. Come on guys let's do some voting
