Its slowly starting to turn around, the finds are starting to pop, and its time go! This is how my last week has gone:
Wednesday, I went back to a house I had hunted the day before and found a 1929 Merc and a1936 Buffalo.
Thursday I got what could have been my best permission of the year, but got booted after and hour, the lady was worried her kids would fall into my holes
while playing in the yard.
Turned out to be an awesome hour as I got an 1896 and 1900 Indians, a really nice 1899 Barber dime and to top it
off, an 1888 Canadian large cent!
Saturday I took a little road trip about an hour south and stopped in a town I haven`t really detected yet, when I pulled in I saw an old looking stretch of
sidewalk that just called out to me to detect. First signal was a 1951 Rosy, and barely 10 minutes later I got a bouncy 24-29 signal that turned out to be a
1905 Barber quarter! I did get one permission in town, but all I found was the normal clad and a 1905 Indian. Later in the day I went back to the town where
I found the Barber dime and large cent and got the house across the street, it had a tiny yard and only took about half an hour to detect, but I was able to find
a 1893 V nickel, my oldest one yet!
Sunday I didn`t feel like driving too far so I stopped just out of town at an old farm house and found out from the lady it was built in 1922, so I thought I might find a few things. Turns out I spent four and a half hours there to find $.68! I only found four coins newer than 1940, got 23 wheats between 1909 and 1940, most were in the teens and twentys, a 1919 Buffalo, 1907 V nickel and a 1912 Barber dime! Just before I was ready to leave I got a real steady 31-33 that I thought
for sure was gonna be a silver quarter. Turned out to be a silver ring instead! Also found a cool whiskey token.
Sure would be nice to find a few more yards like this to detect, I`m gonna keep at it, I`m up to 31 silver coins FTY and 26 Indians!
