Hi,
This is my first time posting to a message board. I have a white's XLT and have lately been detecting is a VERY trashy area where there were once saloons, hotels, etc up to the late 1890s. Since that time it has been a repository of pull tabs, bottle caps, and many old nails as it is in downtown Fort Worth. Typical 'good' finds are 1899 dimes, a few military buttons, and (very rarely) a gold american coin. Also seems to be a few old silver chinese dime size coins (probably from nearby railroad). Most good finds are under trash or near it.
Everyone else I see at this site uses 3 to 5 inch loops on their detectors. After some research I find there are two choices for my XLT:
the "Blue Max 350 Loop" or the "Blue Max 4x6 Shooter DD"
I was wondering if anyone out there had a preference for either of these two distinctly different designs for hunting in trashy areas?
Thanks!
