Best present ever! An ACE 250!

What a great present my DH got for me! My first metal detector! A Garrett ACE 250. Went out yesterday for just a little while and found an old button, a nail and a couple of tabs. Can't wait for a full weekend of warm weather and no rain. And can't wait to share my first "real" finds with all of you!!

Now that's a Merry Christmas ! Great little machine to start with, great little machine, period. Spend the time and learn all you can about it. Don't try to overdo things at the start. Not only do you now belong to the ranks of treasure hunters and a rewarding hobby, but you also own a "time machine".
Do you wondwr where thoes items came from, how old they are, and how they got there? Every step you take with it is now a step across history, back in time.
Your gonna love it.

Congrats on your new detector. Have had mine a couple of years and I still go back to it. Thought about selling it "One" time but it only took me a second to say no way.. Welcome to TNet and will be looking for your finds.

I agree! The Ace 250 is the Greatest Present Ever. I've had mine for about 15 months, and wouldn't trade it for anything. I love to get out every chance I have. It has found over 2000 coins since I got it last September, the oldest being an 1882 Morgan silver dollar. Spend a little time learning the machine, and don't get too frustrated right off the bat. Anything worth doing will take some time, and metal detecting is no exception. The Ace is a powerful machine. The more you use it, the more it will reward you.
